Beech/ Camp Lane Planning Application for 26 Houses[ 10 affordable]
Our response has gone in to SNC. The application runs counter to our Objective One to avoid eating into open countryside around the village. Whilst we understand the need for affordable housing for local people, we do not want to see this at the expense of proper planning of the village as a whole. We are fairly certain that this application for 26 houses is Phase 1 of a much bigger scheme. In the important gap between us and the expanding Northampton, this scheme seeks to take Kislingbury in the direction of Northampton! We have asked SNC to refuse the application. Bugbrooke Road Planning Application for 26 houses[10 affordable]
This application also runs against KAG objectives. Therefore the application has been opposed. Kislingbury Parish Council agreed by a majority vote to oppose this scheme. Those who voted for the scheme were anxious that we should not miss the opportunity to achieve affordable housing for local people. The scheme was criticised for being a suburban street scheme in a rural village and for clearly being the first part of a much larger project. We have asked SNC to refuse the planning application. January 2010 ACTION MONTH FOR KISLINGBURY It is anticipated that both of these planning applications will be put before one meeting of South Northants Planning Committee in late January. Naturally many of you will wish to be present or to speak at the meeting. In the weeks beforehand we shall want to pump up the publicity of our plight. We may wish to write to newspapers, we may wish to refresh the placard campaign, we may wish to get into the spotlight through other means. We need your ideas and energy to produce ACTION. We are not a “lots of meetings” organisation but, bearing in mind the importance of the timing we should meet early in January to share ideas and make ACTION PLANS. Date and time of meeting to be advised soon-keep checking website.
You've seen the placards around the village and surrounding roads...
This website is here to keep you informed about what's happening
Kislingbury Action Group needs people who are up for ACTION.This need not take much of your time but it will be much more effective if the load is spread amongst many rather than few.
At the present time it is difficult to predict all the skills that we shall need but we can already identify some. The intention is that we are guided by the word ACTION – and that means a minimum of meetings.
